I’ve wanted to start a blog for quite some time now, but never really thought I was creative enough, or knew enough about any one thing that was worth me blogging about… well, enough to have regular readers anyway.
I do know that I have passion.
I have passion for anything Rock ‘n’ Roll.
Okay, let’s make it a little less broad;
Tattoos
This comes as no surprise to the people who know me, as in 2009 I got three fairly large tattoos in three months. I love everything about tattoo’s, and I’m doing further research on the history of tattooing. I even went as far as looking into drawing classes so I could get myself a portfolio going. Here’s to dreaming.
I think tattoos play a massive part in my fashion sense. I find myself far more attracted to traditional printed tattoo clothing than most other things. At the moment, I adore Sailor Jerry and Sour Puss clothing most.
My first tattoo ever. This one was done by Zak at Illustrated Man in Sydney, Australia. It was a very poorly done tattoo and I grew to almost hate it after about 15 months of having it. I got my act together in Feburary and paid a visit to Inner Vision, also in Sydney Australia. Their touring artist Seth Arcane did a great job in making it into something really fantastic (well, I think so anyway):

I love the look of fresh, shiney ink
My second tattoo was done when I was 19, and it was done in a rush. I did not put enough time into planning it because it was something I just wanted done, and settled for the artist as well as the art.
It has since faded drastically. The colour is cloudy and a lot of the detailing has just disappeared. I do plan on getting this fixed up by a decent artist when funds allow it!
This year, aside from having Seth’s talent living on my arm I was luckily enough to discover Amanda Cain who specialises in traditional style tattoo’s (my favourite), then she was born:

Taken straight after a 2.5hr session
And lastly, my most recent tattoo which was also done by Amanda Cain:

Three hours after session
I have reasons for getting the above tattoo’s, but I’m not going to make up some huge epic story on “why?“, because a good tattoo is a real work of art and I think having your own design or idea transformed into something beatiful and permanent on your body “because I like it”, is enough.
For me anyway.
